Abstract

Chitosan is a linear aminopolysaccharide. Using methods of chemical modification of chitosan, a number of new biologically active materials have been created. The main interest in these products is due to the preservation of the basic physicochemical and biological properties of the original polymer and the acquisition of new properties depending on the nature of the introduced groups. Modified chitosan can be used in various fields such as drug delivery, textiles, wastewater treatment and a number of biomedical applications. The purpose of this work is to extract chitosan from the remains of ApisMellifera bees and synthesize a Schiff base with salicylic aldehyde and glutaraldehyde on its basis , and confirm the structure of the resulting substance using IR spectroscopy. The article presents the results of studying the IR spectra of glutaric and salicylic aldehyde, chitosan Apis mellifera and Chitosan-glutaric, chitosan-salicylic aldehyde. Also presented are studies on the synthesis of chitosan by Apis mellifera using the cryogenic method in liquid nitrogen and its interaction with glutaric and salicylic aldehydes to form a Schiff base .
